Xiegu G7250 receiver preview: CW and USB notes

What the G7250 CW and upper-sideband preview demonstrates, what the published receiver figures say and what the recording does not measure.

Reviewed: September 16, 2026 Source basis: Current Xiegu introduction and product training material Status: Preview information; production confirmation pending

What the preview demonstrates

The preview shows a G7250 receiving CW and upper-sideband signals while the separate control head displays live spectrum and waterfall activity. The audio in the recording comes from the preview radio. It demonstrates basic receiver operation, tuning and audible reception; it is not a calibrated laboratory test.

CW segment

A CW signal is received while its position is visible on the spectrum and waterfall. The clip does not measure filter shape, blocking performance or CW decoding accuracy.

USB segment

The operator changes to upper sideband and tunes a voice signal. The clip demonstrates tuning and audio reception, not calibrated sensitivity or dynamic range.

Published receiver figures

Receive coverage0.5-30MHz, 50-54MHz and 78-108MHz WFM
SSB/CW/FM sensitivity0.25µV
AM sensitivity2µV
Minimum discernible signal−138dBm
Listed receive toolsDigital filters, noise reduction, noise blanker and noise threshold functions
These are published preview figures. They remain subject to production confirmation and are not measurements produced by the preview video.

What the recording does not prove

  • Laboratory sensitivity or calibrated minimum discernible signal
  • Reciprocal mixing, blocking or close-in dynamic range
  • Strong-signal handling or filter skirt measurements
  • Transmitter output, spectral purity or thermal behavior

Stating these limits keeps the recording useful as observational evidence without turning it into a performance claim the test did not establish.
